SPC Community Room Control System

An end-to-end collegiate Pro A/V control system combining operator interfaces, AV-over-IP routing, audio, power, mobile-cart workflows, administration, and live system health.

The SPC Community Room project is a full control-system engagement: experience design, CORE/ReAX programming, device integration, onsite and remote commissioning, operational documentation, and continued field refinement.

One room, several operating contexts

  • A primary room interface for home, video, microphones, audio, outputs, and power
  • Room-layout AV-over-IP routing across projectors, monitors, encoders, decoders, and a mobile cart
  • AHM DSP control for microphone inputs, program audio, and output zones
  • A dedicated mobile-cart interface with limited, role-appropriate controls
  • Two-level protected administration for system configuration and service workflows
  • Reusable modules for VPX routing, Epson projector control, screen relays, audio, and assignable controls
  • A system-health interface covering switches, control processors, VPX endpoints, projectors, screens, DSP, and network devices

Built for operators and service teams

The everyday interface hides infrastructure complexity and makes common room actions obvious. The administrative and health layers expose the information technicians need for configuration, testing, diagnosis, and recovery without forcing those controls into the operator experience.

Field-tested engineering

The project progressed through real onsite use, remote bench validation, fleet commissioning, repeated CORE Studio build/open checks, published ReAX runtime testing, and a complete user-and-administrator guide built from final interface captures. It demonstrates the full CityMind delivery model from interface intent through verified system behavior.
